Coaster square
Coaster square pattern (US terminology)
This square is based on the pattern of a coaster (also designed by me), hence its name. I added rounds to make the square that gives you so many options. You can make a cushion cover, a blanket in any size you want or maybe a bag. It’s all up to you!
The pattern describes how to make the uni-colored square. But you can easily use more colors. You’ll find pointers in the description on where to join your new color to get the 4-colored square in the example.
Material used: Durable Coral, a mercerized cotton. You need approximately 15 gram per square for a square the size of apps 6.3 x 6.3 inches (using crochet hook size E/4).
You can use any other yarn. Just try different yarns and hook sizes to get the look and feel you are looking for.
There a written instruction as well as a chart and step by step photo’s.
When you buy this pattern and have difficulty or have questions, you can always email me. My email address is included in the pattern.
Please be aware: this pattern only includes the pattern for the coaster square. NOT the pattern for the complete coaster square blanket. That one is only available in Dutch at the moment.
After payment you can download the pattern as a pdf-file. If you have trouble downloading the file, please contact me.
I hope you’ll enjoy this pattern! Please let me know what you think
Are you making a coaster square and want to share a picture online? Please use the hashtag #coastersquare and/or #jipbyjan so I can see them. I’m looking forward to seeing yours!
