ABOUT
The #SizeInclusive Coastline Cover Up was designed for all your summer adventures! This beachy cover-up can be worn over a bathing suit, a dress, or any other warm-weather outfit. The incredible drape of this piece is thanks to the slinky bamboo content in Truboo.
This project is knit using larger needles for a loose, cascading fabric that will flow gracefully as it follows your movements. Feature details include an i-cord edge for a neat, clean finish, and two panels of lace that run vertically through this cover-up to bring a touch of elegance to this otherwise simple piece. Knit with just a four-row repeat, you’re sure to have this pattern memorized in no time. Truboo is the perfect yarn for summer garments, providing a soft, breathable fiber for the ultimate summer layering piece.
This piece is designed to become a ruana or a cardigan, depending on whether or not you would like the sides seamed. A ruana is an open layering piece with a back panel and two front panels that are only connected at the shoulders, while a cardigan is generally closed on the sides!

Lion Brand Truboo is labeled a light, category #3, DK weight yarn. Substitute Lion Brand Truboo with another DK weight (light, category #3) or sport weight (fine, category #2) yarn that matches gauge. You may also be able to match gauge with some fingering weight (super fine, category #1) yarns, too. For a drape similar to the one shown, choose a yarn with similar properties. If using a non-bamboo yarn, choose a lighter weight, like a sport weight or fingering weight yarn.
Needles:
Main Gauge: Size U.S. 9 (5.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Bottom Hem: Size U.S. 6 (4 mm) or 1.5 mm smaller than main gauge needles
Notions: Tapestry needle, 8 stitch markers, several locking stitch markers to help with seaming the bottom hem, scrap yarn that is thinner than your working yarn to use for your lifelines
