Description
This hat has braids of decreasing size decorating the hat surface. The cabling generates a beautiful and warm repeating texture around the hat that is based on the Aran cable knit tradition. The hat is edged with a ribbed border using front and back post stitches.

This pattern includes a written pattern and video tutorials of the cable stitches. The level of difficulty is intermediate to advanced. You should have experience with post-stitches and cable stitches, as well a decreases.

Materials: Fingering Weight Yarn
1 skein of Knit Picks, Hawthorne, color: Panettone Speckle or Cosmic Speckle (357 yards per skein)

Women (pictured): 9.25 inches wide (double for circumference) and 8 inches tall (including edging)
Men: 10 inches wide (double for circumference) and 9.5 inches tall (including edging)
