Pattern description from Son of Stitch ‘n Bitch: “This simple and contemporary sweater design was born of a collaborative process involving several men who are pretty persnickety when it comes to what they wear. The shape of the sweater is inspired by the ever-popular fleece sweatshirts. The stripes are inspired by my dad’s AC Shelby Cobra (a famous roadster from the 1960s), and I suppose there’s something snakelike about the zipper at the neck as well, as it can open to allow even the largest of heads to slip comfortably through. I made it using a moderately priced alpaca blend that men seem particularly drawn to because it is lightweight, warm, and has an understated softness. The contemporary simplicity of this design is made easy because I wrote the pattern s that you can knit almost all of the body and the sleeves in the round. Life is so much happier when there are fewer ends to work away!”
