A versatile scarf with button fastening to convert into a cowl. Wear wrapped once or twice around your neck and buttoned, or leave open as a scarf. Wrap around your shoulders and fasten with a shawl pin or brooch as a shrug or capelet
Worked in a pattern of large cocoons on 12mm needles.

Materials:
5 x 100g hanks of Debbie Bliss Donegal Chunky Tweed (100g = 100m/109yds) in shade 292124
or 500m (545yds) of similar chunky (bulky-weight) yarn that has a stocking stitch tension of 12 sts to 10cm (4in).
The cowl is worked with two strands of yarn held together to make a thicker yarn.

Finished size after blocking: After blocking, scarf is 25cm (10in) wide and 142cm (56in) long.
