Cold Digger
Cold Digger is a warm scarf hooked from end-to-end in two Tunisian crochet stitches that create a nice texture. It works up pretty quickly. Start with a few stitches and slowly increase until you have used about 45% of your yarn, then decrease back to the beginning stitch count. Finish the edge with slip stitch or single crochet. A scarf about 48” long x 5.5” wide at center can be made with about 200 yards of worsted weight yarn and size H (5mm) Tunisian crochet hook. You can begin with a regular crochet hook but will need to change to a Tunisian hook with a short cable as it grows wider. Make it as small or as large as you like with any weight of yarn by changing the hook size to suit the yarn. Instructions are provided for making a narrower scarf than pictured. The 4 page pattern has written instructions only.
