The Cold WInter’s Night Stocking was originally part of the 2024 Knitspot Red Scarf Fundraiser, and is now available here in my Ravelry shop.

This design uses worsted weight wool yarn in 3 colors. There are 4 charts available with different arrangements of the 3 colors. This is a nice, chunky stocking, easy to stuff with your family’s favorite Christmas goodies!

The stocking is worked from the top down, beginning with a lined picot-edged cuff. The pattern calls for a heel flap and gusset style heel. The toe is spiral-shaped with four decrease points and finishes off with the final few sts drawn together as is done for the finishing of a cap (no grafting!).
