This neckwarmer, with its knitted center and crocheted border, is easy to stitch. However, the contrasting yarns and the matching beaded brooch make this an outstanding accessory.

The central part of the neckwarmer is knitted in alpaca, using Irish moss stitch. The border is crocheted in double crochet, with a fine mohair yarn.

The pattern also contains a complete tutorial for the matching brooch, made from a kilt pin and assorted beads.

For the center, you will need approx 180 m 200 yds of an alpaca or other wool yarn at about 360 m 395 yds per 100 g 3.5 oz. This yarn is knitted held double. The neckwarmer in the photo was made with a ball of Plassard’s Alpaga.

Suggested knitting needles: 4.5 mm US 7.

For the border, you will need 250 m 275 yds of a mohair blend at about 1000 m 1100 yds per 100 g 3.5 oz. The border in the photo was made with a ball of Fonty’s Kidopale.

Suggested hook: 5 mm US H-8.

Ce col, dont la partie principale est tricoté et la bordure crochetée, est d’une réalisation très simple. Toutefois, la combinaison des matières et la broche assortie en font un accessoire qui fait beaucoup d’effet!

La partie centrale est tricotée en alpaga, au point de blé. La bordure est crochetée en brides, avec un fil de mohair fin.

La fiche contient également le tutoriel complet pour réaliser la broche assortie, sur la base d’une épingle à kilt.

Pour la partie principale du col, il vous faudra env 180 m d’un fil alpaga ou autre laine douce d’env 360 m aux 100 g. Ce fil sera tricoté en double. Le col présenté est réalisé avec une pelote d’Alpaga de Plassard.

Aiguilles à tricoter proposées: no 4,5 (4,5 mm).

Pour la bordure, il vous faudra 250 m d’un fil mohair mélangée d’env 1000 m aux 100 g. La bordure ici est réalisé avec une pelote de Kidopale de Fonty.

Crochet proposé: no 5 (5 mm).
