The pattern is a lovely, knee-length coat with elbow-length Dolman sleeves. The Music-Hall yarn appears to be a slubby/nubby yarn in a worsted weight. The heavier Mousseron is used for the edging on the jacket. The Victoria (a Nylon, ribbon-like yarn) is used only to make the three teddy-bear buttons (and is not figured in the yardage estimates above).

The pattern is given with a symbol-stitch chart, a schematic of the coat, and two columns of text. Stitches primarily are a double-crochet (U.S.-style) shell design.

Size information is confusing. The beginning of the pattern’s text says: “SIZE: Directions are for Large, with Extra Large in parentheses.” But on the schematic/chart page, the pattern refers to the sizes as Medium and Large. The coat’s dimensions are approximately 25” (27.5” for the larger size) 63.5 cm (70 cm) across the back width at about waist or hip height; the dimension from sleeve-edge to sleeve-edge is 30.75” (33”) 78 cm (84 cm). The coat measures 32.25” 82 cm from back neck edge to hem.

• Anny Blatt knitting yarn, Music-Hall quality in Bois 059: 15 (17) balls; 1305 yards / 1193 m (1479 yards / 1352 m)
• Mousseron quality in Muscade 364: 7 (8) balls; 420 yards / 384 m (480 yards / 439 m)
• Victoria quality: in Dore 165 and in Ecorce 180, 1 ball each (109 yards per ball).
