Colin the Cat is having a purr-fect fish supper! Colin has a striped picnic blanket, a picnic basket, and a pair of fish to eat, yummy! Colin’s colourful fur pattern is obtained by knitting in an ombré/self-striping yarn in orange and pink shades.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and toy cat safety eyes.

SIZES
One size only - Seated, Colin the Cat is 12.5cm tall, each fish is 5cm long, the blanket is 11cm x 10cm, and the basket including handle is 6cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
