"Collinear" shawl
“Collinear” scarf and shawl are sold together for £4.00. There are 2 separate PDF files as each one is shaped and made slightly different.
“Collinear” shawl is knit in a garter stitch. The eye catching stripe and slip stitch pattern makes it fun to knit and creates lots of different possibilities to wear it.
Bias construction gives the shawl beautiful drape and the addition of a very fine saw-tooth edge adds a feminine touch to the piece.
There is a touch of intarsia where the saw-tooth edge is knit in the main colour along the slip stitch and stripe section.
The sample shown is made out of “Elysium” fingering weight yarn by “Lunayarns”; colours used: “Pine Marten” 100g/400m (with very little left) and “In The Twilight” about 40g/150m.
The edge is worked together with the main part on one side and then knitted-on sideways instead of the cast off.
“Collinear” is quite easy to make and knitters with some experience in the craft should be able to complete it.
Instructions are written only.
The shawl is large enough to wrap it around the shoulders and can also double as a warm scarf. Its casual look makes it very easy to wear as it goes with all kinds of outfits.
“Collinear” is a great “every day” accessory for any season!
