The Half linen and garter stitch patterns create lovely color effects when using hand dyed yarns. This shawl is easy to knit and makes the most of that single hank of special yarn.

1 Hank MADELINETOSH TOSH SOCK (100 grs), 395 yds, color Seawash OR Plaid blanket
32” circular knitting needle, size 6 (4 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

20 sts = 4”; 28 rows = 4” in Half Linen st
20 sts = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in Garter st
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE

The shawl is worked from the top down, beginning with a garter st tab. 4 sts are increased on all RS rows and 2 sts are increased on all WS rows. The samples were knit with just 3 - 5 grs remaining. Bind off earlier than stated if you are running out of yarn.
