Yarn
MC: Eden Cottage Yarns Coniston Fingering (56% extrafine superwash merino / 44% superkid mohair; 393 yards 360 meters/100 grams): Moorland (1 ball)
CC: Eden Cottage Yarns Keld Fingering (90% superwash extrafine merino, 10% linen; 393 yards 360 meters/100 grams): Summer Solstice (1 ball)
The sample used approx. 350 yards 320 meters of MC and 100 yards 91 meters of CC.
Needles
US size 6 (4 mm) and size 7 (4.5 mm): 32” (80 cm) circular
Or, size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions
Removable stitch markers, tapestry needle or crochet hook to weave in ends, row counter (optional)
Gauge
20 sts x 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st using smaller needles, after wet blocking.
Techniques
Cable tab cast on, knit increases and decreases, make one increases, slipped stitches, yarnovers.
The Color Pop Shawl was originally featured in the January 2020 Issue 5 of yarnpeople. The original sample (lavendar and yellow) was knit in Sunrays Creations Urna (100% merino wool), now discontinued.
