Colorblock Cardigan
The Colorblock Cardigan is the cardigan version of the Colorblock Pullover. When you purchase these two patterns together, use code CBBOGO at check out to receive one of these patterns for free!
The Colorblock Cardigan is knit flat from the bottom up. Beginning with ribbing that is maintained along each edge of the cardigan’s opening, the piece is worked in large blocks of color, changing every 5”. The fronts and back are knit separately with short row shoulder shaping, then seamed together with a Three Needle BO. The sleeves are picked up in the round and worked with no decreases until the wrist cuff to make a subtle but stylish balloon shape. Lastly, the ribbing sections on either side of the cardigan’s front opening are connected to the back neckline for a smooth transition from front to back. All instructions for these techniques are included in the pattern.
