Colorblock Shawl
Colorblock Shawl is a fun twist on a classic triangular shawl. It is worked in one piece from the bottom up in solid, contrasting colors. It is a great beginner pattern, using simple increases to create the triangular shape.
Finished Dimensions:
Approximately 20” x 53”
Gauge:
Gauge is not crucial, if your gauge is bigger or smaller your shawl will be bigger or smaller. However, to get the stated finished measurements, you should be knitting at the following gauge:
30 stitches and 20 ridges (40 rows) = 4”/10cm in garter
Suggested Yarn:
Fingering or light sport weight with good drape (wool blends, or wool and silk blends are recommended).
The pattern sample is shown in:
Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk, color 153 (main color, 2 skeins)
Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk, color 145 (contrast color, 1 skein)
