Colorful Pot Holder Set
The three pot holders each vary in size between 7 and 8 inches. The stitches used are chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, puff stitch, and slip stitch (in American terminology). I consider this an advanced beginner/intermediate level project because of some of the fancy stitches and the double-sided construction (written directions are given as well as links to tutorials).
Each colorful pot holder in this set is double-thick for extra heat protection and durability. After burning myself a few times with single-thick pot holders, I definitely think this is the way to go! If you just want to make trivets to protect your table, you can make them single-thick (in which case, this is five patterns rather than three).
