Yarn: 80 (108, 122, 148, 185, 210) yards total of worsted weight yarn:
40 (48, 52, 68, 85, 100) yards of main color
20 (30, 35, 40, 50, 55) yards of brim color (can be the same as main color)
20 (30, 35, 40, 50, 55) yards of dot color
We used 1 100 gram skein of The Dye Project’s Ecola Worsted in “Swift” (main and brim colors), and 1 25 gram skein of The Dye Project’s Ecola Worsted in “Eggshell” (dot color) to make the Adult Large size (black & white).
We used 3 25 gram skeins of The Dye Project’s Ecola Worsted, 1 each of “Eggshell” (brim color), “Hanami” (dot color), and “Dragon Breath” (main color) to make the Child size (red-orange).
Needles: US 7 / 4.5 mm 16” circulars (for Child–Adult Large sizes)
US 7 / 4.5 mm double pointed needles or long circulars for magic loop (for all sizes)
or equivalent types & lengths in size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: 5 stitch markers, 1 unique for beginning of round, darning needle, scissors, tape measure
Gauge: 5.5 sts & 7 rows per inch in colorwork pattern before blocking
Sizes: Newborn (Baby, Child, Adult Small, Medium, Large).
Measurements: fits 14–15 (16–18, 18–19, 19–20 20–22, 22–24)” heads
