The mask of black fur that covers the raccoon’s eyes is its most familiar feature. It is believed that the dark fur may help reduce glare and enhance night vision.

Common Raccoon is worked very interestingly -- from the bottom of one front leg, up and over the shoulders, then down to the bottom of the other front leg. Stitches are then picked up along the back of this piece and joined in the round for the body, back legs and tail.

Finished raccoon is about 18” long (including tail) and 7” tall.
