Contrast Stripe Knotted Baby Beanie
by Ellie Woods
A striped knotted beanie, hand knitted in luxury cashmere blend yarn for babies from newborn to 2 years.
I have used Sirdar’s yarn made from a 5% cashmere, 75% merino wool and 20% silk blend. A beautiful, luxurious yarn that is soft, not itchy and machine washable; perfect for your baby’s delicate skin. Any other DK (8 ply) can be used as long as the required knitting tension is achieved.
A two colour stripe with contrast colour roll edge hem and a knot detail.
Knitted in one piece on single pointed needles, sizes 3.25mm & 4mm.
An easy to follow pattern, skills required: casting on, stripes worked in stocking stitch and decrease shaping for the crown and knot detail. The hat has a central back seam.
