Convertibly Cute
This is a modification of the ever popular Fetching fingerless mitts, to make child size convertible mitts/mittens with worsted weight yarn.
You will need the Fetching directions from Knitty to make this pattern.
In fact, it’s a mash-up that also includes elements from two other patterns: the decreases for the mitten top are based on Marcia Lewandowski’s Minnesota Mittens, and the name is a nod to Fetchingly Cute Mittens by Krystal Grams.
New in September 2012, the updated instructions now include a thumb peephole, to help in flower picking and acorn collecting.
Because the Karabella Aurora stretches a lot when washed and when worn, a gauge swatch is especially important with this yarn.
Please contact me if you’re interested in translating these instructions into another language!
