TENSION
28 sts and 36 rows to 10cm [4in] over st st using larger needles, after washing and blocking
36 sts and 36 rows to 10cm [4in] over lace and rib edging pattern using larger needles, after washing and blocking

PATTERN NOTES
The cardigan is cast on at the back neck, with waste yarn. A lace and rib edging pattern is then worked around one side of the neck, before returning to the waste yarn, picking up main yarn stitches and working the lace and rib edging pattern down the other side of the neck. Once the neck edging is complete, stitches are picked up along the edge of the strip of fabric, to create the yoke. The yoke is then worked with increases each side of decorative raglan seams. Once the increases are complete, the yoke is separated into fronts, sleeves and back, and the body of the cardigan is worked down towards the hem with a few A-line increases. The edging pattern changes to a simple rib design a little way before the ribbed hem. Sleeves are then worked down from the armhole down, and completed with a ribbed cuff.
