This crochet pattern is for a super cute Cookie Monster. This loveable and well-known character from Sesame Street is a favourite among folks of all ages. These guys are really cute and well-received as gifts. They also sell well at markets and craft shows.

This easy crochet pattern is written in US terms and is designed for crocheters with a solid understanding of simple crochet, and who don’t mind a little bit of sewing. Lots of photos are included to help you along the way.

Materials
• 109 yards/ 100 grams size 5 (bulky) yarn in Turquoise (this piece is made using Loops & Threads Charisma in Electric Blue)
• Scrap amounts size 4 yarn in Black, White, Beige, Dark Brown
• Crochet hook size H 5.00 mm
• Crochet hook size G 4.00 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Fiber Fill
• Stitch marker
• 2 x 1/2-inch black buttons ONLY if piece is being made for people over 3 years of age.

Notes
• Cookie’s Legs, Body and Head are worked in one piece.
• Cookie is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up; do not join unless instructed to do so. Place marker in first st of round and move up as work progresses.
• Cookie’s Arms, Eyes, Mouth and Cookie are worked separately and sewn on.
• Stuff firmly, but not so the stuffing shows through the stitches.
• The finished piece is approximately 8.5 inches tall.
• A magic ring may be used to begin pieces if preferred.
• If unable to find bulky yarn in correct colour, use 2 strands Turquoise yarn held together (no alterations in pattern needed).
