Please note it is only recommended to lightly steam the hat for blocking, as the raffia yarn will not hold up well to wet blocking.

Always use a hook size that will result in the correct gauge.

Notions: 3 locking stitch markers (including one unique for beg of round), 18m / 20yds of 1mm / 18 gauge craft wire (optional), wire cutters (if using wire), tapestry needle

Notes: Coolidge is created seamlessly, starting with a magic loop. This project is worked in a spiral. This means that when you begin the next round, it is not necessary to make turning chains, or to turn the work. Instead, work directly into the first stitch of the previous round. With this technique, it is very important to mark the first stitch of the round with a locking stitch marker, as you cannot see where the rounds begin and end.
