A single skein of Rowan Felted Tweed in DK weight is enough for this soft, warm, versatile hat.

Worked flat to the crown where it changes to be worked in the round, it features a functional button band that allows the wearer to play with how many (or which) buttons are buttoned up where.

The purl ridges do double duty - trapping heat, and adjusting shape where needed by gathering together at the nape of the neck and stretching out over the top of the head.

Final dimensions are 21” around and 7.5” long.
