Cor Sweater
Description
Cor Sweater is a feminine seamless yoke sweater with a two-color fair isle pattern. It is a relatively easy two-color pattern since it only contains two colors and only 6 stitches in one color at a time. The sweater is knit top down, so you can easily adjust the length at both body and sleeves. By knitting short rows, the neckline is slightly higher at the back. I recommend using the Italian cast-on and the Italian bind-off method for this sweater, but you might as well choose other methods.
Sizes
XS (S) M (L) XL/2XL (3XL/4XL)
Finished Measurements
Bust Circumference: Approximately 94 (100) 109 (114) 120 (130) cm.
Sleeve Length measured from under the armhole: Approximately 41 (42) 43 (45) 45 (45) cm.
Body Length measured from the center back (CB): Approximately 52 (54) 56 (58) 59 (59) cm.
The sweater is designed with an ease of 0–10 cm. The model pictured has a bust measurement of approximately 84 cm and is wearing a size XS with an ease of about 10 cm. The recommendation is to aim for a wide ease in the smaller sizes and a narrower ease in the larger sizes.
Materials
Base Color: 150 (150) 175 (175) 200 (225) g of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive (225 m/25 g) or another doublesilk mohair-quality yarn held double.
Pattern Color: 25 (25) 50 (50) 50 (50) g of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive (225 m/25 g) or another silk mohair-quality yarn held double.
The sweater in the picture is knitted in Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive in the colors Soft Nougat (base color) and Dark Cognac (pattern color).
You can certainly choose yarn other than those specified, provided you maintain the gauge.
In addition to yarn, you will need 1 stitch marker.
Recommended Needles
The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round on a 4.5 mm circular needle (80 cm) using 2 strands.
All ribbing is knitted on a 3.5 mm circular needle (80 cm).
I recommend the Magic Loop method for knitting the sleeves, the top part of the yoke, and the ribbing. If you do not use the Magic Loop method, you will also need 1 circular needle 4.5 mm (40 cm) and 1 circular needle 3.5 mm (40 cm).
Gauge
18 sts × 26 rows = 10 cm × 10 cm on a 4.5 mm circular needle in stockinette stitch.
