Coralie Blanket
This blanket is based on a piece of artwork by Coralie Bickford-Smith, who is most known for designing the book covers for the Penguin Classics cloth bound editions, as well as writng and illustrating her own books.
Coralie kindly gave me her permission to use her work and her picture.
The original artwork had a couple of hundred shades in it at least, and I spent a long time editing it down and down, tying to get as few shades as possible but keep the general vibe of the original picture. I used 32 all together.
It is a great scrap buster, if you don’t have the exact colours just use what you have and your imagination!
The free pattern contains colour layouts and instructions for making the squares. It has links to Youtube for the JAYG joining method, and Attic24 for the sewing jining method.
