Cornwall Beach/New Forest Shawl
This is a top down triangle begun at the neck edge with a few stitches. It has a wider wingspan with increases on every row. The shawl may be knit in three sizes and includes instructions for knitting the two color New Forest Shawl version.
The lace pattern is charted only.
Scarf Size - (blocked) 36”X16” using 300m/325yd
Shawlette Size - (blocked) 50”X22” using 380m/412yd
Shawl Size - (blocked) 64”X28” using 700m/760yd
The New Forest Version is the medium size (blocked) 58”X24” and requires 325m/353yd of the main color and 130m/141yd of the contrasting color.
Please note that different yarns will block to different dimensions.
The Cornwall Beach Shawl (blue) is named after the Cornwall area of southern England. Cornwall is surrounded on three sides by the Celtic Sea and The English Channel and has many beautiful beaches.
The New Forest Shawl (purple/green) was inspired by The New Forest in southern England.
