I’ve always been a creative person and use design to solve problems. CORRESPONDING is a little scarf that solves the problem of how to showcase a bit of special yarn in a functional way! Thoughtful details and simple stitches show off the beauty of handspun yarn. Scarves are back, baby!

Directions are provided for 2 sizes with suggestions for modifications to create a custom-sized piece.

YARN
Handspun 2-ply 100% Non-Superwash Rambouillet, approximately 18 WPI (wraps per inch), 200 yd / 183 m. Use any heavy fingering to sport weight yarn you prefer for this design. For a look like the sample, choose a yarn with shifting colors such as a gradient.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Sizes 1 (2)
Length: 40” (60”) / 102 (152) cm
Width at center (both sizes): 4.75” / 12 cm

Samples shown in fiber from Supernova Dyeworks, colorway Roving About.
Size 1: 116 yd / 106 m (33 g)
Size 2: 191 yd / 175 m (54 g)

GAUGE & NEEDLES
20 stitches & 35 rows = 4” / 10 cm in pattern, blocked. Gauge is not critical but will impact finished size and yarn requirements.
Working with a different weight of yarn? No problem! Gauge will differ, but the concept of the design remains the same! Adjust needle size per preferred gauge.
US 5 / 3.75 mm, or size needed to get gauge, either straight or circular (minimum overall length: 9” / 23 cm for straight needles, or 16” / 40 cm for circular)
