Cosmina Cardigan
……………….
COSMINA
……………….
If Cosmina were to write her own story, it would be a mashup of folk and sci-fi…
Somewhat of a Choose Your Own Adventure pattern, Cosmina can be knitted as a pullover, or as a steeked cardigan, with either a rounded fold-down collar or a tall neck. And either way, it is front-back reversible.
A versatile and easy to knit pattern, Cosmina is designed to take you on a tactile knitting voyage and help you tell your own story using colour, texture, and wool.
There are two separate versions of this pattern included with your purchase: a version suitable for standard yarns in Aran to Chunky weight, and a version designed specifically for Honer och Eir yarns (Nutiden and Varv).
Are you ready for Cosmina? Ground control, we are commencing countdown!

Additional Notes on Yarn Selection for Standard Version
If opting for the steeked cardigan version, choose a rustic woollen spun yarn suitable for steeking.
Otherwise, opt for any Aran to Chunky weight yarn or equivalent that can accommodate the stated gauge.
Note that the required yarn weight can be achieved by holding a DK yarn double.
For example: Woollly Mammoth Fibre Co. Hearth DK and Natural Sock DK, held double, are both suitable and can be combined in the same jumper.

Additional Notes on Nutiden and Gauge
With its gauge of 15 sts per 10cm, this pattern is best suited for the more recent (thicker) batches of Nutiden. If you want to use an older batch form several years ago that is particularly thin, consider holding the yarn triple if the gauge is too loose. Alternatively, changing the Nutiden gauge to 16 or even 17 sts per 10cm, and going up a size in stitch counts, should work fine. (If doing this, however, be sure to follow the yoke measurement instructions for your original size!)
