DESCRIPTION
The Cosmo Cardi was designed with approximately 4.5-6.5 inches of positive ease at the bust. This cardigan boasts a beautiful silhouette, featuring a tailored body that follows the natural shape of your waist to bust. Inspired by the Purl Soho yarn colorway of “Cosmopolitan Pink” there is also a cocktail recipe for a “Rude Cosmo” at the end.

Construction: This cardigan is worked flat with the double-brim collar knit at the same time (so you don’t have to pick up collar stitches at the end!). It’s worked in one piece bottom-up for the entire body until you reach the underarms (casting on for the waist, and increasing for the bust to create a gorgeous tailored fit). From there, it splits into three sections (right front panel, middle back, and left front panel). Once the panels are complete, you will use the three-needle bind-off to seam the shoulders. Since the collar is knit at the same time as the body, you will finish the main vest by attaching and seaming the collar tabs together at the nape of the neck. Then, pick up the sleeves and knit the arms in the round, block, and seam your double-brim collar together. Note: This pattern has two lengths written.

This pattern is written in nine sizes – XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) and knit top-down. Model pictured is wearing the size M and is 5’7”, 148 pounds. She has a bust of 36.5” in circumference, for reference.
