With inspiration drawn from vintage thread crochet doilies, this skirt turns what could be considered fussy and demure into a bold fashion statement. Traditional doily elements such as filet mesh, shells and pineapples are given a fresh twist by exploding the lace using sport weight yarn and a relaxed gauge. The skirt is completely seamless and has a modified circular shape. It is slim fitting through high hip, then flared to a generous full hip and spectacular hem that sweeps in soft waves at lower calf-length. The drawstring waistband has plenty of stretch to pull on and allows for an adjustable fit.
