Cossack Note in Knitted Tunic and Cap (Tunic)
This pattern is
available for free.
On 1 May 1935, The Advertiser newspaper described this pattern:
“The Cossack note, so much in evidence this year, is most attractively introduced in this tunic and cap, which comprise the fifth of the Margaret Eton knitting designs. The striking appearance of the finished articles belie the simplicity of the stitches used in their construction and knitters should have no difficulty in following the clearly given instructions.”
Materials Required (for tunic and cap)
6oz Astrakhan Wool (black)
9oz crepe wool, shade 02539 (rust)
4 ‘log’ buttons
1 wooden buckle
