The white will ruffle between the sections of pink/purple. This is part of the design and not a mistake.

Make the blanket smaller for a preemie by omitting the last section of pink/purple before working the edging, or make it larger for a toddler by adding an extra pink/purple section before the edging.

Making the toddler size will require an extra 5 balls of Pink Lilacs and an extra ball of White.
