These mittens were inspired by the cotton grass that grows in boggy areas in Shetland. The embroidered dots resemble the white fluffy flowers and they are scattered over the back of the hand and the thumb.

The size can be adjusted in length by knitting a few rows more (or less) before starting the decreases for the top of the mitten (or thumb).

For these mittens approximately 60 g of Beremeal and 25 g of Flukkra is needed.

The yarn is available at Uradale Yarns
