When I was a kid everyone had living room furniture in these colors. Some had scenes of hunting dogs and partridges, others featured enormous floral prints or geometric designs, and most had some sort of crocheted afghan in coordinating colors. I find comfort in these colors and in the classic chevron that was to be seen in so many of those matching throws.
