The ButterflyLove Couch Potato pdf knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions and handy hints along the way to help you make the perfect sofa companion. Your finished couch potato should measure approximately 11 inches high and 9 inches wide - a lovely size to cuddle!

This pattern is suitable for a beginner knitter. Please note however that it’s a large project, so do allow at least couple of evenings, or even a week, to create your potato.

What you will need:

2 knitting needles (US3/3.25mm or as per tension advice)
100g double knit (DK) beige yarn (e.g. Paintbox Yarns Simply DK 107 ‘Vanilla Cream’)
5g of black/dark brown yarn or embroidery floss (e.g. Paintbox Yarns Simply DK 110 ‘Coffee Bean’)
2 black toy safety eyes – 18mm
Polyfil toy stuffing (approximately 250g)
1 tapestry needle for finishing

Skills used: Casting on and off, Increasing and decreasing, Embroidery

Stitches used: Stocking stitch
