Counterpoint is the re-working of the very first block I ever designed. It was inspired by several vintage patterns and worked in DK yarn, this new 12 inch version is intended for use with worsted weight yarn. Those of you who are familiar with my work will recognize the “special stitches”. What you may not know is that the ring of picots in this pattern gave me the idea for the loop version of the crocodile stitch. This pattern uses American terminology throughout.

Note: Colors and color placement are the choice of the crocheter, therefore no instructions are given for color changes. Simply fasten off where desired and replace the beginning ch in the next row/round with the appropriate standing st.
