There’s just something about seed stitch in a giant yarn that I cannot get enough of - add in an ombre stripe and it’s pure magic! This scarf is 100% wow that will get you through winter cozy & warm.

At the end of the pattern we lead you through a macrame fringe tutorial so you can easily add that in if you feel moved to. The blanket is knit in our Wanderlust yarn. This is our bulkiest yarn yet - lofty, luscious and all sorts of yummy in a range of gorgeous handcarded and handspun colors. Each color combination has its own unique set of fiber colors.

Skill Level: Beginner Knitter - you just need to know your knits & purls

Materials: 3 skeins Wanderlust or Flower Child yarn

  • I knit my scarf in Wanderlust yarn colors Peachy Keen (color A), Free to Be (color B) and Greyfitti (color C), these 3 colors work perfectly to create a gradient ombre effect. Of course, you could knit this anyway and we have a solid yarn photographed here as well in color Spirit Animal.

Needle Size: size US 19 or 36 straight or circular needles - size necessary to match gauge - I knit super loosely, so I usually do a 19 for this yarn but if you’re a tight knitter, then go up!

Size: 7”-8” wide x 76” long, excluding fringe - the fringe is approx 6” long

Gauge: 1.25 stitches per inch in seed stitch - gauge not super important for this blanket but be sure to keep your gauge loose!
