Afghan uses 9 skeins cornflower and 4 white Caron Wintuk yarn in 3.5 ounce skeins for background. Also needed are a few strands of baby yellow, red, yellow and black and a large tapestry needle.
Embroidered hens and chicks are on 12-inch square blocks.

Pillow uses 2 skeins cornflower and 1 white plus the same colors for embroidery as the afghan.
