Cabled and textured mittens knit from the tip down, featuring thumb wedge.

Size is to fit hand circumference 7 to 8 inches , but easily adjusted. Size adjusting is advised in pattern.

Original yarn is spun from low-treatment wool of Grey finnsheep and enforced with nylon, and to substitute that, the best choice is some elastic, pliable but quite thick worsted or aran yarn that meets gauge when knit quite tightly. One skein, 100 g, of original was well enough for one pair of mittens.

One should be acquainted with mitten knitting from the top, Magic Loop and cabling without cable needle to easily follow this pattern.
