Cozy Camper Cover
Introducing the Cozy Camper Cover a practical solution for keeping your baby cozy and safe during chilly outings. Designed to fit perfectly over stroller or car seat belts, this blanket wraps your little one in warmth without interfering with their safety harness. The thoughtful construction ensures your baby stays warm without bulky layers under the belt, making it the perfect companion for crisp morning strolls, snowy car rides, or naptime on the go. Safety, comfort, and cuteness all in one!
I recommend this project for a baby of 3 months up to 18 months depending on your particular gauge and the size of the child. To make it bigger go up in hook size. You can use dk with up to 5mm.
Experience: Beginner. There are no special stitches!
Knit companion (free version) is a great tool for keeping track of where you are in the pattern too.
Language/Terminology: US Terms
Stitches used: Double crochet Front Loop Only (dcflo) and Single
Crochet Back Loop Only (scblo)
Technique: Overlay Mosaic Crochet
Pattern Includes:
Chart with symbols.
Written directions with pattern notes/guides and stich notes/guides. Printable chart pattern and one large chart for devices and tools like Knit Companion.
YARN:
Use the yarn needed for the size needed. If you are making this for a baby (under a year) use the dk and the correct hook (3.5 or 4). You want your chest piece which is 27 stitches wide to be 7.5-8” wide. It would make sense to do a gauge swatch of 27 stitches wide to match a hook to the yarn you want to use.
Estimates are based on DK yarn and 4 hook.
