Cozy Hood
The COZY Hood is a knitted hood featuring panels that cover the chest and back, allowing you to wear a blouse and stay wrapped in warmth while using the hood. It serves as a practical alternative to hats and scarves, and it can be knitted quickly thanks to the use of thick needles.
The hood is crafted in sections using a seed stitch pattern, starting with shaping the shirt’s front and back before progressing to the hood section. To create the hood, stitches are picked up from the edge of the shirt part and knitted in the round for a few centimeters. The hood is then worked in alternating rows, incorporating increases and decreases for the back section. Finally, all stitches are closed at the center of the top part for a snug fit.
Simple techniques, including left and right inclined decreases and increases, are employed in the process. Detailed instructions are provided, along with links to videos explaining knitting technique used in the project.
