The star stitch is used throughout to create a traditional houndstooth pattern. The abstract four-pointed shapes are identical in each color and magically fit together like puzzle pieces.

Working over the color not in use, creates a reversible fabric. A four-row border of star stitch is added after the main body of the afghan is completed. This pattern is suitable for either sport or DK yarns.

Stitch gauge is actually 8 stitches = 3 inches; 8 rows = 3 inches.
