In late May on the main street of my little city (Steamboat Springs, Colorado), the crabapple trees burst into bloom, declaring the arrival of warm weather. The sweet pink and white blossoms cheer us and then, when they fade, the petals fall like a spring snow, forming drifts as the local shopkeepers sweep them from the sidewalk.

I created this piece as an introduction to lace knitting and beaded knitting, and this simple pattern eases you into both of these techniques. There’s nothing to be afraid of here. You can do this!

You’ll need approximately 189 size 6/0 seed beads for this project.

Please note that the gauge listed in the pattern is unblocked.
