Materials Needed:
5mm (H) Hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge
Approximately 50-75 yds of worsted weight yarn in 2 colors. I used Red Heart Soft in “Wine” and “Off-white” 
yarn needle
scissors

Stitches used:
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
FPhdc = front post half double crochet
BPhdc = back post half double crochet

Gauge:
Circle measures 4 1/2” across after round 6.

Measurements:
Newborn: 6 1/2” wide by 4 1/2” tall

Additional Notes:
-ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
-yarn is carried down the inside of the hat to avoid having to weave in lots of loose ends.
