This design was inspired by this beautiful tonal skein of Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock in colorway “Princess Plummy” that resembles the many tonal shades of cranberries that are harvested in the fall when the fruit takes on its distinctive deep, rich, red color. The stitch pattern was designed to resemble the cluster of blossoms on the stem prior to the fruit that received the sun that turn them deep red when fully ripe.
The shade of ripened cranberries just before their fall harvest inspired the deep color of these socks. Not only does the yarn have just the right pop of fall flair, the distinctive stitch pattern will make you glad to kick off those shoes and show off your cozy style.
The pattern is written for DPNs referring to Needles 1-4. You can accommodate it for Magic Loop or 2 circulars.
NOTIONS: Stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round, A tapestry needle for weaving ends.
PATTERN STYLE: The pattern contains written as well as chart instructions. There is a key and full abbreviation list included as well.
DIFFICULTY: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate: increases, decreases, and sock construction.
YARN: This pattern was designed to show off the beautiful colors in variegated yarn. Certainly solid or lightly tonal yarn would show excellent stitch definition.
