Crayfish season starts in late July in Finland, and few delicacies are accompanied by as many ceremonies and should-do’s as these black (or red) little buggers. From crayfish-themed tableware to songs praising crayfish (and, frequently, the accompanying shots of aquavit to wash them down), the crayfish party is a bizarre institution in its own right. So a pair of crayfish party-themed socks is, really, nothing more than appropriate, complete with details such as embroidered eyes.
