YARN REQUIREMENTS
You can use any yarn and colour combination you like. However, the yarn amount will vary depending on your chosen yarn and hook size.
The following yarn requirements are estimates and based on the yarn specified (DK weight #3) and a 3.50 mm hook.
Red and White Sample Blanket
Using Knit Craft Era DK in Red and Robin Sparkle DK in White, I needed 3 skeins of each colour. If you are using a different yarn and/or hook you may need more or less.
Squares:
For each 23-round square and using DK weight yarn and a 3.50 mm hook, you will need, approximately:
- Colour A (Pattern Colour): 60 m
- Colour B (Background Colour): 70 m
You will need another 300 m, approximately, for the simple border.
YOU WILL ALSO NEED
- The hook recommended for your yarn. In the sample, I used a 3.50 mm hook instead of the recommended 4.00 mm, as I wanted the texture to be denser. Hook size is personal choice, but will affect the final yarn usage and project size.
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Stitch Markers (advisable)
