I made this sweater for my big guy because you could buy sweaters but they didn’t fit. There were no knitting patterns out at the time to fit our big pets. I will be adding at the end of each section the way I made our sweater size 41 inch. I have been told it is too much and others wanted the extra. Making the best fitting sweater for your furbaby is what we are working for.

Chest Sizes: 10-14 (16-21)
This sweater was designed for the toy group
but is easily adapted to fit most any pet you love.
Materials: Fingering weight yarn (all fibers will work for this sweater just be sure to hand wash if you use wool or animal fiber. Estimated yardage 200 yards (50 grams). I always purchase extra due to individual knitting style.
Circular needles in 16 inch size 2 (2.75 mm) and 3 (3.25 mm). Dp needles in 2 (2.75 mm) Stitch markers, scrap yarn, tapestry needle for working in ends. Embroidery thread for reinforcing buttonholes- (Buttonholes Optional)

Gauge: Using the largest needles stockinette st should be 27sts x38 rows for a 4 x 4 swatch. I knit very loose so please check your gauge. You may need to adjust needle sizes.
