About the Pattern

This pattern was born because I had a vision when I saw this beautiful cable stitch pattern on a book.My vision was the sand after a sandstorm in the desert, untouched by the hand of man, just perfect. This shawl is a fast knit and very easy to work. Once you memorize the pattern, you can work on it without need to go back and check the grafic all the time. It’s a medium lenght project. I did it in just a week, without any stress, so you should be able to get it well done without rushing.
It will be a nice complement to any outfit, because it isn’t too bohemian or too elegant, it’s warm but not too much. It will be a must for your wardrobe, in autumn, winter and also in the not so warm spring nights.
The pattern has both written and charted instructions also has been tech edited and test knitted.

Pattern Notes
The pattern is knitted using the method of the garter tab first, then you go to the body of the shawl: the cable section, and after all the easiest but also the hardest part: the ruffle, it consists of 12 rows in garter st, and every row is almost 600 st. But it is the final touch, and is mindless knitting, and it looks beautiful when finished … Ok, sorry.
Obviously you can make it wider and longer, you just need to knit more repeats in the cable section. But remember that then there will be more stitches in the ruffle section ;)

Printer friendly
To keep the pattern as printer friendly as possible the frontpage is in a different PDF, because it is a collage of pictures. So you can choose if you want to print it or not to print it.

Sobre el patrón
Este patrón nació porque tuve una visión al ver la muestra de este punto de ochos en un libro. Mi visión era el desierto tras una tormenta de arena, intacto, simplemente perfecto. Este chal se teje rápido y es fácil de trabajar. Una vez que memorizas el patrón, puedes trabajar sin necesidad de consultar el gráfico todo el tiempo. Es un proyecto medio, yo lo tejí en una semana sin estresarme en lo más mínimo.
Puede ser un toque de distinción para cualquier ocasión, porque no es ni demasiado bohemio ni demasiado elegante, es cálido, pero no en exceso. Será un “must” de tu guardarropa, ya sea para el otoño, el invierno o las noches del principio de la primavera, que no son tan cálidas
El patrón tiene tanto gráficos como instrucciones escritas y ha sido editado técnicamente y tejido para probarlo.

Notas sobre el patrón
Este patrón está tejido desde el centro de la parte superior, utilizando el método de la “garter tab” lo que traducido vendría a ser la “lengüeta a punto bobo”, entonces se pasa a la parte central del chal: la sección de los ochos. Y después a la parte más sencilla, pero más trabajosa: el volante, que está formado por 12 vueltas a punto bobo (todos los puntos se tejen a punto derecho en todas las vueltas), cada vuelta tiene casi 600 puntos. Pero es el toque final, no hay que pensar nada para hacerlo y se ve precioso una vez terminado… vale, lo siento.
Obviamente este chal se puede hacer más ancho y largo, sencillamente se deben tejer más repeticiones en la sección de ochos. Pero debes recordar que entonces tendrás aún más puntos en la sección del volante ;)

Ahorrar en la impresión
Para evitar un gasto inútil en la impresora, la portada que es un collage de imágenes está en un PDF aparte, para que puedas decidir si lo quieres imprimir o no.
